California lawmakers pass restrictions on hiring former immigration agents, ban on electric-shock gloves

California continues to resist President Trump's immigration enforcement escalation. "In a show of defiance to the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigrants, California lawmakers [yesterday] voted to ban federal immigration agents from being hired for many local and state government jobs and to outlaw electric-shock gloves similar to those that may be distributed to federal officers."
