Calls grow for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to resign

Chatter continues about whether Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem will stay in her office for long. She recently testified before a House Committee on DHS on immigration policy. Noem defended expanded immigration measures. as reported in the Macon Telegraph, "Committee Democrats scrutinized Noem’s tenure, alleging mismanagement and misuse of resources. Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) called for her resignation, accusing her of lawlessness. . . . Democrats argued that she “showed a complete disregard for the oversight authority” of Congress and was not forthcoming with information."
