Colorado Public Radio: Immigration policies put stress on the health care of immigrants; new study finds their doctors feel it too.

Colorado Public Radio reports that "[r]esearchers interviewed dozens of primary care doctors nationwide . . . as part of a study on the impact. It’s published in JAMA Internal Medicine. She said many immigrants canceled and switched appointments and . . . had deep worries that ER and other visits could lead to getting picked up by ICE. . . .

Immigrants were responding to news stories nationwide about things like immigrants’ fears of being detained at health care facilities and the administration turning over Medicaid enrollees’ personal data, including addresses, to ICE."
