ICE Visits Dodger Stadium After World Series Victory
As we have reported, the Los Angeles Dodgers, with a roster of players from around the globe, won this year's World Series in amazing fashion. LA Taco (yes, that is the right name) reported that "[e]arly Tuesday morning, federal agents were spotted staging in a parking lot co-owned by the L.A. Dodgers, on Stadium Way in Elysian Park, only one day after thousands of Dodgers fans celebrated the team’s back-to-back World Series victories." What the heck!
As Fox News reported, an immigrant rights group has asked the Dodgers to skip the obligatory visit to the White House. "The Los Angeles Dodgers have always been more than a baseball team — they’re part of the spirit of who we are as a city. The team represents our neighborhoods, our families, and our shared love for our diverse communities. But right now, our community, our city are under siege, we need them to stand with us, on the right side of history," the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) wrote in an online petition.
