Immigration Law Fellowship at the Vermont Law and Graduate School’s Center for Justice Reform Clinic

Please share with interested candidates the Immigration Law Fellowship (2026–2029) at Vermont Law and Graduate School’s Center for Justice Reform Clinic. This three-year fellowship seeks an early-career attorney or recent law graduate (1–4 years of relevant experience) committed to expanding access to immigration legal services for low-income Vermonters and individuals in civil immigration detention in Vermont. The Fellow will provide direct legal services to noncitizen clients through the Center for Justice Reform Clinic focused primarily on removal defense (including advocacy for detained noncitizens and litigation before federal district courts where necessary). In addition to client representation, the Fellow will develop and implement projects aimed at improving access to legal services for noncitizen Vermonters and will engage with the broader legal community through outreach, education, and collaboration with statewide partners. The fellowship is supported by the Vermont Bar Foundation, Trout Lily Foundation, and the Vermont Access to Justice Coalition. The position is full-time, on-campus, with a salary of $60,000–$70,000 plus full benefits.

While the posted start date (March 16) is approaching, actual start date is flexible. More information about the position and application instructions are available here.
