NPR: The Trump administration's crackdown on immigrant truckers shifts into higher gear

The Trump administration is seeking to tighten rules for immigrants with temporary legal status seeking a commercial driver’s license. Critics contend that the changes won’t improve road safety. According to the Department of Transportation’s estimate, the proposed regulations could force around 200,000 noncitizens, including asylum-seekers and DACA recipients, out of trucking.
