Thousands Flee South Africa as Anti-Immigrant Attacks Grow

As has occurred throughout history, xenophobia is sweeping the world. The New York Times reports that xenophobic violence has been mounting in South Africa, with mobs of anti-immigrant protesters march in Johannesburg and elsewhere. The protesters threaten migrants and attack foreign-owned businesses. (This link is free.) One anti-immigration group has set a deadline of June 30 for all undocumented migrants in the country to leave.
