Trump Administration Ends Temporary Protected Status for Citizens of Burma and Haiti

Our immigration agencies have been hard at work this week.

Citizenship and Immigration Services announced the end of temporary protected status (TPS) for citizens in Burma and Haiti. TPS recipients from these countries will now be subject to removal despite dangers in their homelands.

The Trump administration has been systematically eliminating TPS designations. Many of those actions have been challenged in lawsuits.
