| Immigration enforcement affected both immigrant and nonimmigrant families across the US in 2025 |

As heightened immigration enforcement continues, Urban’s 2025 Well-Being and Basic Needs Survey finds that 36 percent of adults in nonimmigrant families (in which all household members were born in the US) and 71 percent in immigrant families (in which one or more members were born outside the US) worried about being approached by immigration authorities.
