US shared confidential immigration details with Iranian government, lawsuit alleges

Another story that is not surprising in these times. The United States continues its war on Iran. Numerous news outlets are now reporting that "[t]he Trump administration is providing the Iranian government with confidential information about Iranians seeking asylum in the United States, a civil rights group alleged in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday morning."

The Iranian American Legal Defense Fund has accused the federal government of entering an agreement with Iranian officials last year to “share the immigration files and information of Iranians” in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody. One can only guess what the Iranian government, which the U.S. Department of State has concluded has a dismal civil rights record, does with the information,
