We Rate Dogs Calls Out CBP for Shooting Family Dog

The world can be overwhelming these days, which is why I'm an assiduous follower of @WeRateDogs on all social media platforms. The content never fails to cheer me up. Whether the dogs are adorable, well-behaved, or little demons – they always bring a smile to my face.

So I was a little surprised to come across immigration content in this week's video of the Top 5 dogs of the week. It's the last story of the video. And it's about Chop, a Rottweiler who was shot and killed by Border Patrol who asked to search a family's home in El Paso. The family told local news that they'd consented to the search, but asked to confine their dog in the bathroom during the search because he did not react well to strangers. Knowing this, Border Patrol still opened the bathroom door, shot, and killed Chop.
